I am an empirical political economist.
I study how beliefs are formed and how they shape social, political, and economic outcomes. My work centers on two interconnected themes: political persuasion across traditional media, social media, and, more recently, AI; and economic history, particularly how institutions, policies, social environments, and historical shocks leave lasting imprints on beliefs and norms. I draw on causal methods to address questions at the intersection of economics, political science, and sociology.
